Because Meeman Center classes are not for college credit, there is no auditing. You must register for a class to participate.

Please read our cancellation policy .

If the class is not what I expected and I cancel my participation may I get a refund?
There are no refunds after a course begins.

Do I have to buy books or other supplies? Where do I get them?
You will find specific information about books and supplies when you register for a course. Usually books are recommended for purchase and available at your favorite bookstore, on Amazon.com, or at the Rhodes Bookstore. The Meeman Center will special order a book for you upon request.  Certain classes may require additional supplies which are available for purchase through Meeman Center or the professor.

Do Meeman Center courses earn college credit?
Meeman Center courses are continuing education and they earn continuing education units (CEUs). One-tenth of a unit is earned for every hour you attend class. For example, if you attend a class that meets a total of eight hours, you earn .8 CEU. If you want a certificate of CEUs earned you must request it from the Meeman Center office, 901.843.3965 or
whittaker@rhodes.edu.

What size is the average class.
The average class size is about 10 - 12. A very few classes are as small as six or as large as 50.

If I know I will miss first class/last class, will you pro-rate the class?
Tuition cannot be pro-rated. If you have to miss a class invite a friend or relative to attend in your place. Tell us who will attend for you and we’ll have a name tag ready.

Can I record the class?
As a registered participate of the class and with the professor’s permission you may record a class yourself, but Meeman Center does not provide this service.

Why don’t you have CE daytime classes?
Our Rhodes professors are busy teaching undergraduate classes during the day. Occasionally, we do offer a daytime class, but it rarely attracts enough people to make.

Do you have to have a business degree to attend the Institute for Executive Leadership?
No particular degree is required to attend this Institute, just an interest in reading classic works of literature and relating them to modern day situations.
